Rick Leckner has over four decades of experience in corporate communications and crisis management. He established MaisonBrison Communications in 1983, providing strategic investor relations, crisis management and media relations services to large, publicly-traded Canadian companies. Prior to that he helped launch public relations firm, Polymark Management in 1973. He is also well-known for his 30 years of providing helicopter traffic reports to Montrealers. He is often solicited by the media for his comments on transportation issues. Rick served as a city councillor in Dollard-des-Ormeaux from 1978-1994, was Vice-President of the Montreal Urban Community (MUC) Emergency Measures Bureau, and has sat on a number of Quebec Government committees, including the Conseil des services essentiels the Comité d’examen des plaintes of the Sûreté du Québec and Transports Québec’s comité technique sur la mobilité des biens et des personnes. Rick is currently a Board member and 1st Vice-President of Urgences-santé.
For the past twenty five years, Pierre has been involved in various aspects of North American financial markets. He worked 12 years as a financial analyst covering special situations and technology companies. The quality of his work and recommendations were recognized by various institutional investor surveys over the years. He joined MaisonBrison in 2009 and became a Partner in 2016. He works with several clients in Canada and in the U.S. Pierre currently serves on the boards of Québec Bourse as Chairman.
Jennifer is a seasoned executive with over twenty years of experience in finance and communications. She spent fifteen years at public corporations with various responsibilities including financial analysis, investor relations, external & internal communications, corporate social responsibility and branding. She was nominated several times for best investor relations practices in Canada by IR Magazine and was awarded the Belle Mulligan Award for Leadership in Investor Relations by the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) in 2014. She also sat on the Board of CIRI Quebec from 2010-2016 (two years as President). Furthermore, she was a sell side analyst covering Quebec special situations and was a consultant in corporate finance and operational finance.
Chris is a veteran executive with over 20 years of experience in corporate governance, shareholder identification and shareholder engagement strategies. He is a past Board member of CIRI Ontario, is a frequent speaker / contributor on corporate governance, shareholder rights and proxy voting issues and co-authored “Unlocking Value at Canadian Pacific: The Proxy Battle with Pershing Square”, Ivey Publishing 2017. He has a BA from King’s University College at The University of Western Ontario and an MBA (Financial Services) from Dalhousie University.
Shirley is an investor relations specialist with more than 10 years of experience. She has been fully involved in the various processes surrounding financial communication and has also been involved in corporate social responsibility communication. Previously, she was a market analyst specializing in the analysis and dissemination of market data in the newsprint and printing and writing papers sectors. Shirley holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Economics from les Hautes Études Commerciales in Montreal.
François has over twenty years of experience in financial communications and investor relations. A skilled generalist, he has proven expertise in writing financial documents, managing projects such as websites and corporate presentations, and organizing targeted meetings with brokers, analysts and investment bankers. In recent years, François has compiled nomination packages that have won some of his clients’ prestigious provincial and national awards.
Steeve is an expert visual communicator, whose career spans over eighteen years of experience in branding, copywriting, illustration, marketing, print and Web design. Steeve is especially skilled at incorporating the desires of the client with a superior design solution and his creativity enhances the strategic messaging developed for MaisonBrison’s clients. With Steeve on board, we further broaden our marketing and communication service offering. Prior to joining MaisonBrison in 2010, Steeve managed a creative department in one of Canada’s largest direct marketing service companies.

Michael was Editor-in-Chief of Montreal Business Magazine for twelve years (1994-2005). Previously, he was Director of Research and Communications for a major real estate consulting company. Michael is a published author and an expert at distilling a company’s message into lucid prose, and adept at capturing a voice for speechwriting assignments. As a specialist in corporate communications and investor relations, he writes corporate brochures, video scripts, annual reports, press releases, conference call notes, and AGM presentations for the firm’s clients.
